Features of Igloo Thermal™ Phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic:

  • Incombustible, fire resistant, low non-toxic smoke spread which is effective when combating any fire spread.
  • Our Phenolic materials are resistant to water and dampness with the outer fiberglass plastic adhered adds additional protection.
  • Low conductivity, of 0.020w/mk, which enhancesinsulation performance.
  • Corrosion resistant
  • The service life of 30 years & over.
  • Light weight and high tensile strength
  • Convenient to transport
  • Easy to install and maintain
  • Heavy hoisting equipment not

  • 1 - Phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic protection layer
  • 2 - Phenolic foam outer insulation layer
  • 3 - Phenolic foam inner insulation layer

The phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic protection layer can be formed either by the manufacturer (winding or forming using molds), or on the construction site (hand mixed & applied to mold). Image on the left : Phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic forming resins

1. Low temperature adhesive
It is composed by phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic resin (GT-213#) and curing agent, it’s used for bonding steel pipe to the phenolic foam or phenolic foam-phenolic foam. The adhesives can be used in low temperature and cryogenic engineering.

2. Phenolic foam putty
It is comprised of phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic resin (GT-213#), curing agent and phenolic foam powder, mix to slurry when using it; it can be used in the low temperature construction as filler or adhesiveness such as coalition, gap, hole or corner.

Phenolic filler

It is composed by phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic resin (GT-213#), curing agent and phenolic foam powder.

When mixing with loose powder form (which is a bit wet) it can be used in the low temperature construction as a filler for big hole, large concave or other filling areas as required such as valve insulation box, flange insulation box, parallel tracing insulation.
