The notice during collocation of filler

  • i. Prepare the vessels, blenders, computation and test apparatus.
  • ii. The proportional sequence of material and environmental temperature should follow the specification and operation of the products during the allocation.
  • iii. Allocation during the open air cannot be exposed or rain or damp environments.
  • iv. The allocation quantity should be based on the rest volume of dies cavity, to be able to inject the filler during specific time, try to inject precisely one time and clean the vessels and blenders timely.

The construction of damp resistant layer

  • 1) The pipe should lay the damp resistant layer.
  • 2) The damp resistant layer should be laid on clean, dry and smooth insulation outer shell. The material laminate and thickness should accord to the design requirement; it can use either phenolic fiberglass, reinforced plastic or flame-resisting petroleum bitumen.
  • 3) Construction in the open air cannot be exposed to snow, rainy and damp environments. Construction in winter should prevent the apparatus from freezing. The environmental temperature and construction should be according to the documentation or specification of product.
  • 4) The damp resistant layer applies phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic, the operation should be as follows:
    • After the installation of insulating layer, remove the dust and the protruding parts, the partial concave and larger joint should be plugged by phenolic putty for rainy or high humid areas, it' recommended to enswathe the insulation layer below 0.02mm plastic film.
    • Process:
      • a) Prepare fiberglass fabric which have a width of 120~350mm with a thickness of 0.1~0.2mm. Rest it on surface of the insulation layer or plastic film.
      • b) Prepare phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic resin according to the required proportion then brush the resin from the surface of the first fiberglass fabric layer. Wipe up the bubbles then cover the next layer of fiberglass fabric Repeat continuously till the thickness meets the specific requirements.
      • c) The joint of the fiberglass fabric should be overlapping when connected.
    • After the solidification of fiberglass reinforced plastic, trim and grind the whole pipe to polish, then brush it with a layer of phenolic resin, the appearance will be of bright phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic protection layer after solidification.
    • The damp resistant layer construction of pipe, valve, bracket, hanger or equipment base is almost the same with the steps mentioned above (steps 1, 2, 3)

The construction of outer protection layer

  • (1) The damp resistant layer should adapt the paste phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic coating to resist weather painting or bonding the metal protection layer. For attractive appearance the mental protection layer can be applied with aluminum foil, colored steel and galvanized board.
  • (2) For the weather durability the paint should be applied in multiple layers following material specification.
  • (3) The coated aluminum foil has corrosive and weather resistant durability. phenolic fiberglass reinforced plastic is coated on the aluminum foil. Then wait 15-20 minutes prior to it's viscosity before it can be touched by hand.

The inspection of insulation layer, damp resistant layer and protection layer

  • 1. The quality inspection of insulation layer should according to the following specifications:
    • a. The insulation layer should be laminated, securely compressed. The joint width should be less than 2mm;
    • b. The allowed deviation of insulation layer's thickness should according to the specification of table 1

The quality inspection of damp resistant layer’s specification:

  • 1. All junctions and layers should be dense and continuous or mechanical damage will ensue.
  • 2. The surface should be neat, without defect such as bubble, edge flag, delaminating.
  • 3. For the damp resistant layer of the metal protection, the flatness deviation of the surface should be less than 5mm.

The flatness inspection of protection layer:

  • 1. Inspect it by 1m long guiding rule;
  • 2. The allowed deviation of metal protection should be less than 5mm.

The inspection requirements of protection layer:

  • A. The layer should not have any cracks or be loose. In a cold or dry situation, the surface should be neat and flat which without fiber layer.
  • B. The wrapping layer or metal protection layer cannot be loose, turned up, or have cracks in the clear concave.
